Enitiate's project teams are comprised of a diverse range of engineering students studying a variety of disciplines. Our project teams are multidisciplinary, and students often develop skillsets and understanding outside of the taught curriculum, diversifying and strengthening their knowledge base.
From final-year to first-year, Enitiate offers students an opportunity to undertake technical projects for partners that are active within the community. Enitiate team members gain valuable industry experience and are supported technically through engagement with Enitiate's industry partners.
Enitiate is currently recruiting project team members for Semester 1 of 2026!
All engineering students from any of WA's universities are encouraged to apply! Simply fill out the short form below to submit your application.
“I believe engineers are critical to building a sustainable future for our planet. Therefore, developing socially responsible and environmentally conscious young engineers is an important part of our planet’s future. Enitiate provides students the opportunity to apply and develop their broader engineering skillset by undertaking real-world projects within the community. As well as gaining an appreciation of the impact their engineering skillset can have on people and community groups, they develop knowhow in client liaising, project management, project delivery, and collaboration in multidisciplinary contexts, readying them for professional engineering practice.”
"We take a collaborative approach to our projects, working closely with our clients to ensure that we fully understand their needs and can deliver solutions that exceed their expectations."
"Seeing Enitiate grow from an idea to a genuinely impactful organisation was a highlight of my time as an engineering student. I'm proud of the value we've provided to deserving partners and opportunity we've generated for students - I look forward to seeing Enitiate continue to thrive."
"My experience with Enitiate this semester has been very rewarding. With Enitiate, I have not only been able to develop research, technical and modelling skills, but I also was able to improve my communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills - all of which was made possible by Wood's mentorship and Enitiate's leadership team. I have been grateful to contribute to a project with great community impact and would highly recommend the program to other students seeking a holistic engineering experience."
"I thought it was a great environment to work in. My project lead and the rest of the group fostered a positive, team-focused atmosphere that made me look forward to our meetings each semester."
"Working on the Enitiate project has been one of the most rewarding parts of engineering studies. It has offered the unique opportunity to apply engineering knowledge to a real-world sustainability challenge with direct social impact. Furthermore, being able to collaborate with with a multidisciplinary team allowed me to grow both technically and professionally—whether it was refining process models, navigating stakeholder expectations, or learning how to communicate complex ideas clearly."
