Our Pilot Project was a feasibility analysis into the implementation of a community battery storage system for the Town of Mosman Park.
Community battery storage systems are a method for better utilizing residential solar power production and optimising household power consumption.
These systems often exist as large community batteries, that store surplus energy from household's unused solar power, and distributes it back to homes during peak energy consumption periods.
These systems may be beneficial not only environmentally, but also financially. Residents may save on energy costs given they are able to store and later use energy produced by solar, rather than purchasing from the grid at high prices.
